Welcome to SAFE: Safety for Animals and Families in Emergencies

SAFE's Mission: To provide temporary, emergency care and placement for the companion animals of victims of violence and families in emergencies. 

SAFE assists people seeking safety from violence by providing an alternative to giving up a beloved pet, or leaving a pet behind in a potentially dangerous situation.

SAFE places pets in temporary care with compassionate, dedicated caregivers until the owner can safely reclaim their pets.

SAFE provides a Safety Plan to help people in family violence situations be prepared.

SAFE provides public education on the connection between cruelty to animals interpersonal violence, child abuse and abuse of the elderly.

SAFE is not an animal rescue group or animal shelter organization. SAFE provides a temporary solution for people finding themselves in need of short-term assistance and who plan on being reunited with their beloved pets.
